Are all the calls from unknown numbers blocked automatically?
Only calls from numbers which are reported by 10 users will be blocked. Genuine unknown numbers won’t be blocked.
How is particular mobile number marked as spam?
When 10 users report a number as spam, it will be added to global spam list and blocked for all users.
I have 2 sims on my phone. Will the spam calls be blocked for both sims?
Yes. Spam protection is enabled on device level. All the incoming calls to both sims will get protection.
I reported a number as spam by mistake. Can I undo that?
Yes. You can unblock the numbers from the app by going into blocked numbers tab.
How to receive calls regularly from a number which is part of global spam list?
You can save that number to your contacts. Calls from saved contacts will never be blocked.
Why do you need contact permission?
While syncing spam numbers to your phone, we need to filter out the saved contacts from the list. This enables phence to avoid blocking calls from saved contacts. Your contacts will never leave your device. We don’t store your contacts in our systems.
